Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all photography services booked through this website. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking and Payment
Photography appointments are booked through the Amelia online booking system available on this website.
Payments are securely processed by Square. Accepted payment methods include major payment cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
A booking is confirmed once a €50 booking deposit has been successfully received. The deposit forms part of the total price of the photography service unless otherwise agreed.
Clients may choose to pay only the €50 booking deposit at the time of booking or pay the full amount in advance.
2. Booking Deposit
The €50 Booking Deposit reserves the agreed date and time exclusively for your appointment and compensates the photographer for reserving that time and declining other work.
The Booking Deposit is non-refundable if:
you cancel your booking;
you fail to attend your appointment (no-show); or
you cancel with the intention of not rescheduling.
If you wish to move your appointment, the Booking Deposit may instead be transferred to a new booking, provided the rescheduling request is made at least 24 hours before the original appointment time.
The Booking Deposit may only be transferred to the same photography service unless otherwise agreed.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
3. Rescheduling and Cancellation by the Client
Appointments may be rescheduled without losing the Booking Deposit by contacting the photographer by email or telephone at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Requests received less than 24 hours before the appointment may be treated as a cancellation or no-show and the Booking Deposit may be forfeited.
If a client does not attend the scheduled appointment without prior notice, the Booking Depositt will be retained.
4. Balance Payment
Unless paid in full at the time of booking, the remaining balance becomes payable on completion of the photography session.
Payment may be made:
through a secure Square payment link;
tap with mobile or card through Square;
Revolut app;
Bank of Ireland Zippay;
PayPal;
by exact cash; or
by invoice where agreed in advance.
Final edited high-resolution images are deliverable after payment has been received in full.
5. Late Arrivals
Clients are asked to arrive on time for their appointment.
Where a late arrival results in additional photography time beyond the agreed booking, additional charges may apply at a rate of €100 per hour, calculated proportionately where appropriate.
Where studio availability or subsequent bookings prevent extending the session, the appointment may instead finish at the originally agreed end time.
6. Overtime
The agreed booking duration includes the time confirmed at the time of booking. Any additional time requested on the day of the photoshoot or event, or any extension beyond the agreed finish time, will be charged at €100 per hour (or part thereof). Overtime is subject to the photographer's availability and will be invoiced after the booking.
7. Cancellation by the Photographer
If the photographer is unable to provide the booked service due to illness, accident, force majeure or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule the appointment to a mutually convenient date.
If rescheduling is not possible or the client prefers not to reschedule, any booking deposit or payments already made for services not provided will be refunded.
The photographer's liability is limited to the refund of payments received for the affected booking except where otherwise required by law.
8. Image Delivery
Estimated digital file delivery times are:
Individual headshots: within 24 hours.
Portrait sessions and bookings of up to three hours: within 2 working days.
Full-day events and longer photography assignments: within 5 working days.
These delivery times are estimates and may occasionally vary due to exceptional workload or unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be informed if significant delays are expected.
Printed photographs are not included in the package prices through the Booking calendar. These are digital only rates.
9. Copyright and Image Usage
Copyright in all photographs remains with the photographer in accordance with Irish copyright law unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Upon full payment:
Personal clients
Clients booking personal portraits, professional headshots or similar individual photography receive a perpetual licence to use the delivered images for personal and professional purposes, including social media, websites, CVs, portfolios and printed materials.
The images may not be sold, licensed to third parties or used commercially without prior written permission.
Commercial clients
Commercial clients receive a licence to use the delivered images for their business, marketing and advertising purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing before the photography session.
Any limitations or extended licensing requirements will be specified in the quotation or booking confirmation.
10. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
provide accurate booking information;
arrive on time for their appointment;
inform the photographer of any relevant requirements before the session;
obtain permission where photography is taking place on private premises requiring authorisation;
ensure that all participants under the age of 18 are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The photographer is not responsible for missed images where circumstances beyond reasonable control prevent photographs from being taken.
11. Limitation of Liability
While every reasonable care is taken in providing photography services and safeguarding image files, liability for any claim arising from the booking shall be limited to the total amount paid by the client, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under Irish law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory rights available to consumers.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
