I am committed to handling your personal data responsibly and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018.

By using this website or making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.

As the Data Controller, I determine how and why your personal information is processed.

2. What personal information is collected?

When you make a booking, I may collect:
Your name
Email address
Telephone number
Booking details (date, time, location and selected photography service)

Payment card information is not collected or stored by me.

Payments are securely processed by Square, which acts as an independent payment processor.

3. Why your information is collected

Your information is collected solely for the purpose of providing the photography services you have requested.

This includes:
processing your booking;
confirming your appointment;
communicating with you regarding your booking;
providing the photography service;
issuing invoices or payment requests where applicable;
maintaining financial records required by Irish law.

Your personal information is not used for marketing purposes, newsletters or promotional emails unless you have separately chosen to receive such communications.

Only the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide the service is collected.

4. Legal basis for processing

Under Article 6 of the GDPR, personal information is processed on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract
Processing is necessary to fulfil the photography services you have booked.

Legal obligation
Certain records, including invoices and financial records, must be retained to comply with Irish tax and accounting legislation.

Limited processing may be necessary to administer bookings, respond to enquiries or protect against fraudulent or abusive bookings where appropriate.

5. Payment information

Payments made through this website are securely processed by Square.

I do not receive or store your payment card details.

Square processes payment information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy and security standards.

6. Who receives your information?

Your personal information is shared only where necessary to provide the service.

This may include:

Square – secure payment processing.
PayPal – secure payment processing. 
Amelia Booking Plugin – managing online bookings.
WordPress hosting provider – secure website hosting.
Google Workspace – email communication and appointment administration.
Dropbox – delivering final digital images.
Accounting software or accountant (where applicable) for bookkeeping and tax compliance.

Personal information is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

7. How long your information is kept

Booking information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the requested photography services.

Invoices and accounting records are retained for at least 6 years, to comply with Irish Revenue record-keeping requirements.

Once personal information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

8. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are taken to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

While every effort is made to protect personal information, no method of electronic transmission or online storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your rights under GDPR

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

request access to your personal information;
request correction of inaccurate information;
request deletion of your personal information where applicable;
request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
object to processing based on legitimate interests;
request a copy of your personal data in a portable format where applicable;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Some of these rights may be limited where I am legally required to retain certain records, such as invoices.
