The Project & Design

The HRB website project started with an in-person UX/UI workshop in Dublin. For the UI bit I had prepared a few directions as mockups to present the design could take a shape of. The winner was a light approach that wouldn't need to rely on great images to be supplied, as the content would be updated often and there would be very little control over the quality of images.

HRB had a small concise brand leaflet of fonts and colours to consult with, but otherwise there was quite a lot of freedom with the UI design. I created a comprehensive design system in Figma to keep the project consistent and efficient.

The Process

Based on the user personas and exercises from the workshop our UX designers created a sitemap, UX wireframes and user flows.

As a government body the project took a good while to move forwards with a lot of stakeholders and departments involved. Starting from the homepage every section of the website was designed separately as a sprint and signed off wioth the various departments before moving to the next one.
